Roseland Farm provides a buyer's contract for each puppy sold. This contract details the pedigree, registration, health, pricing, information and spay/neutering requirements of each pup.

Great Dane Puppies:

We have dew claws removed. We do not crop ears unless requested by the new owner and at the expense of the new owner.  We discourage air-shipping puppies from our location, but are open to discussion on this issue.

We offer a separate contract for full registration and pet quality pups. A copy of either contract is available upon request. A $200.00 deposit is required for pet quality pups and a $900.00 deposit is required for full registration pups. We initially choose our puppies available for full registration based on color compared with the AKC color standard for Great Danes.  Co-ownership is a consideration with full registration.

Buyers will also be required to fill out a buyer's survey form. The form will be used insure our puppies will be going to loving, appropriate homes. A buyer must have their survey approved before being allowed to purchase a puppy. The survey requires vet information and at least one reference.

Buyers are also required to take their pup to the vet, within 1 week of delivery, for an exam. A veterinarian exam form is to be filled out by the veterinarian and returned to Roseland Farm. Failure to provide the exam form within the time period will null and void any expressed warrantees.

Health or behavioral problems that arise after the puppy leaves our location are handled on an individual basis.  The return of the Great Dane is always one option available to the owner.  Money refunds or replacement puppies are options that are dependent on the situation and age of the Great Dane.

Roseland Farm provides 24/7 support to our puppy owners for the life of the Great Dane.

All pet quality pups are sold with a limited AKC registration and spaying/neutering requirement. The sale price of the pup will include a $100.00 spaying/neutering refund. Upon receipt of a spay/neuter certificate from a certified veterinarian, the buyer will receive the refund. The AKC limited registration papers are submitted to the AKC by Roseland Farm upon receipt of the spay/neuter certificate.  Early spay/neuter (at 9 weeks of age) is an option to the buyer and will be done before the puppy leaves Roseland Farm.  The buyer is responsible for the cost of the surgery.

All full registration pups are sold with full AKC registration papers, but co-ownership may be required. DNA testing of all full registration pups is encouraged. Roseland Farm reserves the right to determine which puppies in any given litter will qualify for purchase under the full registration contract.

Puppies receive a microchip and Roseland Farm pays for the chip and the registration of the chip to the new owner.  Roseland Farm is registered as the alternate contact for the microchip.

Puppies are kept for a minimum of 10 weeks.  They will receive appropriate worming, 2 puppy shots, and kennel cough before they leave for their new homes.

Roseland Farm offers their puppy owners the right to return the Great Dane, at any time, if circumstances arise where the original owner can no longer care for their Great Dane and are unable to find a suitable replacement home.  At no time is the Great Dane to be surrendered to a shelter or rescue without the expressed and written consent of Roseland Farm.
